Before a neurotoxin procedure, you’ll meet with our experts in St. Louis to discuss your goals. We will examine your facial muscles to determine the best injection location. You’ll also be asked to avoid certain medications and blood thinners, like NSAIDs (Advil, aspirin, and Aleve). 

Post-procedure, you may experience redness for about 15 minutes around the injection sites. We recommend that you refrain from massaging or rubbing the area, avoid lying down for 4 hours, and refrain from any strenuous exercises for the remainder of the day. 

Neurotoxins or neuromodulators work by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles, resulting in a smoother, more youthful appearance. Botox, Jeuveau, and Dysport are FDA-approved injectable neurotoxins. Unlike surgical procedures, they are minimally invasive and require no downtime.

Positive changes can be noticed as early as 2-3 days after the treatment, but full results are seen by day 10 or 12. These results last for approximately 3 to 6 months.
